A. The windmills of Lassithi
Declared a national art form in 1986, these windmills are beautiful and a part of Lassithi culture. Read More.
B. Cave of Psychro
  This cave is located west of Agios Nikolaos, nearby the northern entrance to the Lassithi Plateau, on the eastern slopes of Mount Dikti.
This cave was one of the most important places of religous practice during the Minoan period and continued to be one until the Roman times. Read more.
C. Palm Forest at Vai
 

Located 25 km east of Sitia, this palm forest looks almost tropical. The forest consists of 5000 palm trees and extends for an area of 250 square kilometres. It is the largest known palm tree forest of Europe and the only indigenous wild date palm grove of Greece. In front of the forest a long beach with soft golden sand and emerald waters.

D. Island of Chryssi
 

Chryssi Island is perfect for a day excursion with its white sandy beaches and turquoise water. The island is uninhabited and the only building is a fish restaurant. Scuba is a popular activity in this area because of the beautiful underwater landscape.
